And, as ever, a photo of the screen could well be useful. As OP said there is no effect on the images, only on the LCD, so nothing to remove - no obstruction. The only things (2) comes in my mind- 1) the OP using polarized sunglasses and that could affect the view and 2) the LCD getting faulty.
