Tie the pipe cleaners on the back side of the garland and give the pipe cleaner one simple twist to ensure it won't allow the garland to move. Hang your garland. I swoop my garland and tie the pipe cleaners on with a spacing of 8 spindles in between each pipe cleaner.

There are fancy garland ties that can be purchased online that are basically wire covered with either soft cording or faux greenery. You could also use zip ties which would be quick and secure.

To get the best adhesion, clean the area with rubbing alcohol prior to applying the adhesive strips. Apply the "wall side" strip to the banister and press in place for about 30 seconds {NOTE: Make sure that this is applied vertically - NOT horizontally or at an angle}.
