The bucket cylinders are supporting the boom pole but now the operator is using a winch connected to the end of the boom pole which is increasing the forces on the bucket and lift arm cylinders.. Tractor designers protect the 3 pt hitch by including two relief valves. One is in the circuit as you try and raise a load on the lift arms.

To attach the Category-1 (7/8-inch) lift-arm pins on each end of the drawbar piece; drill a large hole through the center of a 2-inch-square x 3/8-inch-thick plate. (Check the plate size -- you want a square plate that will just fit into the end of the square tubing; you'll have to grind comers off to make it fit.)

The chains bolt onto a 6-in. length of 4-in. sq. steel tubing that's welded onto the bottom of the boom. A safety chain wraps around the boom in case the bolt ever breaks.
