The JPC is simply lacking that. You can change out shoulder pads and swap to a cummerbund that offers better structural support, like the AXL Equinox. Those will make heavier loads far more bearable. The JPC was simply not designed for that use-case, though. However, people have varying definitions of what a sustainment load is.
