The blue-spotted pufferfish ( Arothron caeruleopunctatus) is a saltwater puffer. It is commonly seen in tropical and subtropical areas around coral reefs. Blue-spotted puffers call slopes outside these reefs their home. They also swim among mixed coral, sand, rubble, and weed below coral reefs.

The Blue Dot Puffer prefers a tank of at least 50 gallons with plenty of places to hide & swim. The Canthigaster epilamprus is a omnivore and likes to eat variety of chopped meats (fish, scallop, shrimp, squid, clam). The Blue Dot Puffer is a medium maintenance fish and may act semi-aggressively toward other fish.
