The abyssal skill that changes the play style of the class is the Archery one that turns you into an artillery is a pretty different play style and Songcraft's Lv55 Abyssal Skill that turns allies into an animal instead of dying sounds hilarious in raid pvp! In terms of 1v1 though, we could definitely see a lot of new stuffs like Sorcery.

Its hard to explain, but in order to build charges you need to use certain skills, for a good majority of builds that i use, i dont use half of the skills that build charges. So that means I will have to change my build to some odd combination just to use the abyssal skills. Im probably going to switch to the Shadowplay abyssal skills.

To be more precise - you need that particular Skill-Tree on Level 55 to be able to unlock the Abyssal Skill. So if you are Level 55 (having switched constantly during leveling) but haven't reached Level 55 in any of the Skill trees, you cant unlock Abyssal unless you level that tree to 55 first. 2. true.
