In 2002 we sold all the western ewes and started investigating hair sheep, and after 2 years decided on Katahdins. In July 2004, we started a registered Katahdin flock, no comparison to the western sheep. Our farm now raises registered & commercial.

Sheep Trough Feeders Keep Healthy
To build the hay rack on our sheep/goat hay feeder, we used 3/8" steel rods fastened to a frame of rectangular 1/8" steel tube. This goat hay feeder is designed to be loaded with hay bales - year after year after year. The sheep/goat feeder trough under the hay rack is built with 12-gauge steel, 32" wide. Drain holes in all four corners.
