Much like the A1 Cabriolet, it WAS a A3 Golf 2dr with the roof cut off. There wass no 'restyling" to 'make it look like' a MK3. As far as I'm concerned the 'A' and 'MK' designation follow eachother through the years. Which means to me there's no such thing as a MK2 Cabby, A MK2 Scirocco is a Corrado. An 82-88 Rocco is a MK1.
