I can sign into the Dragon Age Keep just fine but it doesn't seem to be communicating either - and I'm honestly not sure if that's not supposed to be connected to the Player Profile or not. I've seen a few things claiming that, because it's basically impossible to get that link to connect, the game is essentially broken.

Its just a " oh well, cant be bothered to do anything about it" situation for EA. DA:O really had no online functionality except uploading screenshots and saving the profile unlocks online. There was the verification of DLC but everyone got upgraded to the Ultimate Edition at some point that includes all the DLC so that was no longer necessary.

Though not the same, what you can do is create a profile at https://dragonagekeep.com The game can then upload basic information on your character and character picture, and you have to manually edit the decisions you made yourself.
