The usual meeting point is the Vrachos camping site in Kastraki, a favourite among the climbers and rappelers, a short hike away from the rock. Meteora is a beautiful place and a definite a bucket list item everyone should visit. Getting here is tiring (its 4 hours away from Athens), but the monasteries and clifftop views are amazing. Monasteries on cliffs are just amazing and they work well as a place to visit w/ family or as couples for a weekend trip.
