Knole is a country house situated in Sevenoaks with a wooden parkland that forms the last remaining medieval deer park in Kent. Impressive are the dimensions of the house, it is one of the largest country houses in England, occupying a total of four acres. The house is an accretion of architectural layers, built upon and around the remains of the medieval building at its core.

Knole House is located in Sevenoaks, off the High Street. 11 miles north of Royal Tunbridge Wells, on the A26-A225. The site is owned by The National Trust and the house is open, Tuesday to Sunday mid March to mid November 13:30-5:00pm, late November to mid December 11:00-4:00pm. The park is open daily to pedestrians, dawn to dusk.

The Grade I listed Knole House lies in the 1,000 acre Knole Park just south of Sevenoaks in Kent. It is now in the care of the National Trust. it is one of the largest houses in England and is or was a so-called calendar house with 365 rooms, 52 staircases, 12 entrancess, and seven courtyards. It has Elizabethan and Stuart architecture.

The earliest parts of the house at Knole date from around 1456, with the second major building phase carried out by the Sackvilles completed in 1605. Since 1946, the building has belonged to the National Trust.
