Ethiopian Airlines, the largest airline in Africa, has placed an order for 10 additional Airbus A350-900 aircraft, enabling further development of its fast expanding long-haul route network. Last June, Ethiopian Airlines became the first African carrier to operate the A350 when it took delivery of the first of 12 aircraft in order.

The A350 is the world's most modern and efficient widebody aircraft and the long range leader in the 300-410 seater category, flying efficiently on any sector from short-haul to ultra-long-haul routes up to 9,700nm.

The last A350-900 . According to ch-aviation.com, this latest delivery is the final Ethiopian Airlines' A350-900 expected at the carrier. However, the website notes that it is still expecting to take delivery of four Airbus A350-1000s.

Once those deliveries are completed, then the carrier will receive four units of the -1000 variant, following an alteration to its A350 order made back in July 2022..
