Posted January 17, 2009. I have just had a reply back from Penton - my ignition was only made for 125 and 250 enduro machines. If anybody out there needs one then feel free to contact me and we can negotiate. On my motoplat the only stamped marks are the number 571493 on the outer face of the rotor and 0616030 6v/35/5/21w56 around the outside.

To test the trigger circuit put your meter on the diode setting test between black and blue then reverse you should get a semi conductor reading in both directions if it reads one way only the stator is bad. Test from blue to earth you should get between 215 and 385 ohms.
