The WM-7 is in my opinion the most complex walkman ever made, so there's plenty of things to go wrong. If you're planning on fixing yours, I'd advise on trying to get the belt out as cleanly as possible as it's easy to get the perished belt over the gears it rests upon. Also, when lifting the circuit board it's super important to align the leaf.
