Some films work better than other on subsequent viewings but with Ma Part Du Gâteau I found that knowing what was to come didn't lessen the strength of the story at all. The narrative is delivered with great direction from Cédric Klapisch and acting from all of the cast and especially Karin Viard and Gilles Lellouche in the two lead roles.
