Being the largest plateau in Crete, Lassithi is a wonderful place to visit and explore is located about 25km south of . Located in a peaceful and fertile region, it is surrounded by the wild and several smaller plateaus. The altitude ranges from 800 to 850m, making one of the few residential insular areas in the Mediterranean at such high altitude.
