Dip Falls is situated in a remote region of North-West Tasmania in the Dip River Forest Reserve, along the Dip River. This waterfall is very unique in it's appearance due to the stepped nature, it almost looks like it was made from lego. You won't see the crowds here, but not due to any lack of quality.

Dip Falls is a beautiful waterfall with a two-tiered structure and unique rock formations; it is situated in the Dip River Forest Reserve, near Mawbanna in the North West of Tasmania.

Skinny Dip Falls consists of basically 3 levels and is about 30 - 40 foot high overall, with a swimming hole and jumping rock. The area is very popular with swimmers and photographers. The water flowing through Skinny Dip Falls is the same water that flows through Upper and Lower Falls at Graveyard Fields.

However, the elevation gains to get to those falls is around 300 feet according to topography maps and would require some bushwhacking to reach Yellowstone Falls from Skinny Dip Falls. The height of the falls is only about 30' total, each tier being between about 10 - 15' high. But the overall scenery and appeal of the deep pools makes up for the lack of an impressive cataract. If you do come during the warmer months, feel free to swim, but despite the name of the falls make sure you bring a bathing suit and a towel/change of.

Jul. 2023 โ€ข Couples. We visited Dip Falls and the nearby Big Tree on a drive from Stanley. The falls are located in the Dip River Forest Reserve, approximately 40 kilometres (40 minute) drive from Stanley. The road is sealed for much of the way with only the last few kilometres being of gravel, albeit in good order when we visited.
